Job summary

Aertssen Machinery Services in Qatar is seeking an experienced crane and rigging specialist to operate and set up lifting equipment on site. You will inspect loads, secure them for lifting, and coordinate with the site team to ensure safe operations.

You must have 5–10 years of Oil & Gas experience in GCC with certificates, and strong English writing and reading skills. Dismantling and storage of equipment, plus strict safety adherence, are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up cranes, pulleys, winches and hoists.
• Assemble and install rigging gear such as cables, ropes and clamps.
• Inspect and prepare loads for lifting and secure with slings, chains or ropes.
• Dismantle and store equipment after use.
• Collaborate and maintain communication with site manager, foreman, rigger and other involved parties.

Role and responsibilities

Operate and set up cranes pulleys winches and hoists Assemble and install rigging gear such as cables ropes and clamps Inspect and prepare loads for lifting Secure loads using slings chains or ropes to prevent shifting or imbalance Attach loads to rigging equipment and align level and anchor machinery after placement Conduct risk assessments and follow strict safety protocols Inspect rigging equipment before and after use Ensure safety of team members and bystanders during operations Dismantle and store equipment properly after use You always collaborate and maintain constant communication with the site manager foreman rigger and other involved parties

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma
• You are proficient in the English language, with solid skills in writing and reading.
• Age at least 25 years old
• You have broad expertise in the operation and application of equipment and lifting gear.
• You have a minimum of 5-10 years of work experience in Oil and Gas within GCC countries (with experience certificates)
