Job summary

Snoonu is seeking a Head of Revenue Recognition to own end-to-end recognition and settlement across its Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman footprint. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, establish policy, controls, and governance to ensure audit-ready revenue reporting under IFRS 15.

You will partner with Product, Commercial, and Ops to translate business needs into compliant accounting treatments, while driving system migrations and robust financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and a recognized professional qualification (CPA/CMA/ACCA).
• 6+ years in revenue recognition, financial reporting, or partner settlement with leadership experience.
• In-depth IFRS 15 knowledge and ability to apply it to multi-rail transaction flows (cash, card, wallet, BNPL, POS).
• Strong accounting judgment, internal controls, and ability to defend treatments to auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end revenue recognition and settlement across Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman.
• Define and maintain revenue recognition policy and liability mapping across multi-rail transactions.
• Translate business requirements into documented accounting treatments with well-controlled processes.
• Design validation controls and exception-handling workflows to reduce manual intervention.
• Oversee recurring revenue adjustments and related postings across ERP systems.
• Lead cash-flow forecasting and merchant payment prioritization for decision-ready insights.
• Drive ERP migrations and reconciliation of balances during platform changes.
• Assess accounting impact of product/marketplace changes and design treatments.
• Build reporting dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Excel) for real-time visibility.
• Serve as Finance point of contact for merchants, banks, and auditors.
