Job summary

WSP International LLC – Qatar Branch is seeking a Resident Engineer – Roads to supervise day-to-day road and related infrastructure works for an Ashghal GEC Framework project. You will ensure construction aligns with drawings, specifications, contractual obligations, and Ashghal quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE registration preferred.
• Education shall be from North America, Europe, Australia or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years in road construction supervision.
• Knowledge of Ashghal specs, Qatar codes and international road standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs and contracts.
• Strong English communication; Arabic a plus.
• Experience with QA/QC processes and documentation.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office.
• On-site work in challenging environments; travel as required.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Valid Qatar work permit or eligibility to obtain one.
• MMUP Registration is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred


• Education shall be obtained from North America , Europe , Australia or equivalent university


• Minimum 15 years of experience in road construction supervision, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure projects in Qatar.


• In‑depth knowledge of Ashghal specifications, Qatar construction codes, and international road design standards.


• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).


• Demonstrated experience with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes and documentation.


• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and Microsoft Office suite.


• Ability to work on-site in challenging environments and travel as required.


• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.


• Valid Qatar work permit or eligibility to obtain one.
