Job description

The Hotel Recreation Attendant is responsible for assisting guests with recreational facilities and activities and ensuring safety, cleanliness and a positive guest experience. Typical tasks include:

Responsibilities

• Guest Service
  • Welcome guests and explain available recreational facilities and activities
  • Provide information about pool rules, fitness center usage, sports courts, beach activities or resort programs
  • Assist guests with equipment rentals and reservations
  • Answer questions and respond to guest requests professionally
• Facility Monitoring
  • Supervise recreational areas such as pools, beaches, gyms, playgrounds and sports facilities
  • Ensure guests follow safety rules and facility guidelines
  • Report hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to supervisors
• Equipment Management
  • Set up and store recreational equipment (bicycles, kayaks, sports gear, towels, etc.)
  • Inspect equipment for damage and arrange repairs when needed
  • Maintain inventory of recreation supplies
• Activity Support
  • Assist in organizing and conducting recreational activities, games, tournaments and events
  • Help with children’s programs, fitness classes or entertainment activities when assigned
