Job summary

Client of Brunel seeks a Quality Assurance professional to lead fabrication quality across offshore and yard activities in Qatar. You will implement surveillance programmes, manage deficiencies, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

You will head a QA/QC team, coordinate with inspectors, and participate in safety walks while promoting lessons learned and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering.
• Quality, welding and NDE inspection qualifications.
• 8 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year in a supervisory role or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
• Experience in large-scale operating organizations in Operations and projects.
• Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Fabrication Quality Surveillance Programme to confirm CRA spool fabrication activities are compliant with project specs.
• Implement Deficiency and NCR Management processes to ensure deficiencies and nonconformances are identified, recorded, investigated and resolved.
• Implement Quality Reporting process to monitor quality performance and communicate on fabrication quality issues, risks and trends to Head of Quality and Yard Fabrication team.
• Actively participate in Project Quality Audit Program to confirm activities are conducted per plans and procedures.
• Lead the offshore installation QA/QC team including QC inspectors, Welding inspectors, NDT personnel and coating inspectors.
• Maintain interfaces with Yard Fabrication team to ensure quality issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate with inspectors to ensure all related quality issues are identified, communicated and rectified.
• Implements Quality Management system for oversight and verification of Contactor Activities.
• Provide feedback on quality issues, capture lessons learned and expedite closure of lessons learned.
• Actively participate in safety management programs including attendance at site safety walks and issuance of observation cards.

• Coordinate with the inspectors to ensure that all related quality issues are identified communicated and rectified

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering
• Additional quality, welding and NDE inspection related qualifications
• 8 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
• Experience in working in large-scale operating Organizations in Operations and projects
• Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications and tools
• Knowledge of Industry standards
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills.
