Job summary

Radisson Hotel Group in Doha is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Driver to manage routine purchasing operations and ensure timely delivery of materials to hotel facilities.

You will coordinate supplier movements, verify stock levels, and liaise with vendors to resolve delivery issues while maintaining safety and accuracy in all transactions. A clean Qatar driving license and experience in a 5-star hotel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Qatar driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience as Purchasing Driver, Procurement Driver, Delivery Driver, or similar role, preferably in a 5-star hotel.
• Good knowledge of Doha roads, locations, suppliers, markets, and industrial areas.
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and team members.
• Able to collect and deliver purchased goods safely, accurately, and on time.

• Processes purchase orders for the acquisition/replenishment of routinely needed supplies, parts and materials.
• Checking if there is enough stock in the inventory to meet requirements.
• Placing orders with suppliers or vendors and ensuring that documentation is in order, with terms and conditions being clear.
• Maintaining a filing system in the purchase department and updating appropriate records when required.
• Looks for ways to reduce costs to the company, such as evaluating costs of purchasing from various suppliers to arrive at the best deal.
• Inspecting consignments to verify if they are in order and as per agreed terms.
• Interacting with suppliers in case of delay in delivery of supplies, receipt of damaged or incorrect quantity of goods.

• Good numeracy skills for checking quantities, invoices, delivery notes, and purchase documents.
• Able to collect and deliver purchased goods safely, accurately, and on time.
• Assist the Purchasing Department with supplier collections, urgent purchases, and routine purchasing activities.
• Check delivered items against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes and report discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure purchased materials are handled, transported, and stored safely to prevent damage.
• Maintain proper documentation for all collections and deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, properly maintained, and ready for daily operations.
• Follow all hotel, traffic, health & safety, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude when dealing with suppliers and team members.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Practise the “Yes I Can!” attitude and consistently support the hotel’s 5-star service standards.
