Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Full Stack Software Engineer to partner with public sector clients and rapidly deliver AI-enabled applications. In this role you will build full‑stack, production‑grade software, tying together interactive UIs, backend APIs, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

You will travel up to two weeks per month to client offices for feedback and delivery, architect solutions, and drive end‑to‑end implementations in global public sector contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of post-graduation, full‑stack engineering experience with proficiency in React (required), TypeScript, Next.js, Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, plus hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Proven ability to architect scalable, production‑grade applications with cloud environments and infrastructure health.
• Experience deploying to customer infrastructure and maintaining end‑to‑end solutions.
• Self‑starter with the technical maturity to navigate ambiguous requirements and deliver reliable software.
• Driven async communication to reduce friction in collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with public sector clients to scope and implement solutions, including client office visits.
• Architect production-grade applications that integrate AI models with full-stack frameworks.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring system integrity, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to core platform features reusable across diverse international client use cases.
• Partner with design, product, and data teams to align with overall architecture.
