Job summary

Scale is hiring an Applied AI Engineer for the Global Public Sector to build custom end-to-end AI applications for public sector clients worldwide, including dataset creation, evaluations, and model fine-tuning with global reach.

You will partner with clients, deploy AI solutions into production, and collaborate with data annotation teams to ensure high-quality training data and robust evaluation frameworks. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience applying AI/ML in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based ML tools and platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with public sector clients to understand challenges and define AI-driven solutions.
• Build and deploy end-to-end AI applications into production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-quality training data.
• Design and maintain evaluation frameworks for AI models.
• Occasional travel (approximately two weeks per quarter).
• Contribute to scaling AI capabilities in public sector via knowledge sharing.
