Job summary

Qatar Foundation in Qatar is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital projects, coordinating architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines to meet high quality standards. You will define scope, develop schedules, manage resources, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies while reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Architecture, or any relevant field.
• 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience.
• Competent with project methodology and a project management qualification (e.g. PMI, APM, etc.) is strongly desired.
• Excellent planning and time management skills.
• International experience, preferably in the Middle East; knowledge of QF an advantage.
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Excellent writing skills with ability to draft / edit official documents and articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency as a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, Oracle ERP and other technical tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the timely delivery of Capital Projects assignments and objectives with QF by providing architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical project management at the highest standards of quality.
• Define the scope of work and breakdown structure for the project in collaboration with seniormanagement and shareholders.
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
• Create a detailed work schedule identifying sequences and resources for successful project completion.
• Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
• Supervise project execution according to schedule and contract terms.
• Comply with QF health, safety, and environment policies and review safety and quality regularly.
• Monitor progress, update stakeholders, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Update reports on the project for management and communicate with stakeholders.
• Review project progress and adjust to expedite delivery on milestones.
• Evaluate outcomes established during the planning phase.

Job description

• Define the scope of work and breakdown structure for the project in collaboration with seniormanagement and shareholders
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
• Create a detailed work schedule which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
• Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project
• Supervise the project execution according to the project schedule and comply with the contract terms and conditions
• Comply with and enforce QF health, safety, and environment policies, procedures, legal regulations, and objectives applicable to areas of responsibility to ensure that work is performed in a safe, healthy and environmentally-sound manner. Review the safety and quality of the work completed with the project team and contractors on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
• Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project Develop forms and records to document project activities. Set up files to ensure that all project

• Review project progress and remaining duration for schedule activities to ensure project is on schedule and develop solution to expedite deli very on key milestones
