Job summary

International Organization for Migration (IOM) Qatar seeks a Programme Officer to manage the Qatar Country Programme, coordinating activities, ensuring timely reporting, and guiding staff across operational and technical dimensions.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement with UN agencies, government counterparts, and partners, along with strategic project development and results monitoring in a complex humanitarian context.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field with five years of experience or a degree with seven years of experience.
• Experience in programme development, capacity-building, liaising with governmental and international institutions.
• Ability to organize high-level consultations, workshops or seminars.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and implementation of the IOM Qatar Country Programme.
• Provide operational management and technical supervision to staff.
• Cultivate relationships with UN agencies, humanitarian organisations, government bodies, and stakeholders.
• Identify programme priorities and design new projects aligned with donor requirements.
• Ensure timely reporting to IOM, donors and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against objectives and establish M&E frameworks.
• Supervise and mentor programme staff and develop capacity building.
