Job summary

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Qatar seeks an experienced MHPSS professional to organize problem and emotion-based psychoeducation, support groups and individual counselling sessions under the supervision of the Head of Office and Programme Manager.

You will coordinate with clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, doctors, nurses and social workers, support families, and organize capacity-building activities for staff and volunteers in an emergency context.

Qualifications

• University or Bachelor’s degree in counselling psychology or any relevant field with three years of professional experience.
• High school degree with at least five years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing MHPSS services as individual and group sessions.
• Assist to coordinate interventions by mental health specialists and referrals to specialized services.
• Assist primary caregivers to organize family support for mental health challenges.
• Support recovery plans for individuals, couples, families and groups.
• Organize platforms and workshops to disseminate MHPSS information and advocacy messages.
• Assist reporting in Smart Camp SYNC data entry system and generate visibility materials.
• Organize capacity-building activities for staff, CAS focal points, QRC and volunteers.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of the programme.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
