QAFCO (Qatar Fertiliser Company) is seeking a Process Safety Engineer in Mesaieed, Qatar. The successful candidate will assist in implementing the Process Safety Management System and lead various Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering, with at least 8 years of experience in similar roles within the Fertilizer, Petrochemicals, or Oil & Gas industry. The role requires excellent supervisory and analytical skills, strong engineering judgment, and effective communication capabilities.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Process Safety in the Fertilizer, Petrochemicals, or Oil & Gas industry.
Certifications in Process Safety Management, Incident Investigations are desirable.
Knowledge of codes and standards for Process Safety Management.
Responsibilities
Assist Head of Safety in implementing Process Safety Management Systems.
Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies including HAZOP and SIL.
Generate and review Process Safety Management reports.
Lead investigations of process safety incidents.
