Job summary

QAFCO (Qatar Fertiliser Company) is seeking a Process Safety Engineer in Mesaieed, Qatar. The successful candidate will assist in implementing the Process Safety Management System and lead various Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering, with at least 8 years of experience in similar roles within the Fertilizer, Petrochemicals, or Oil & Gas industry. The role requires excellent supervisory and analytical skills, strong engineering judgment, and effective communication capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Process Safety in the Fertilizer, Petrochemicals, or Oil & Gas industry.
• Certifications in Process Safety Management, Incident Investigations are desirable.
• Knowledge of codes and standards for Process Safety Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Safety in implementing Process Safety Management Systems.
• Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies including HAZOP and SIL.
• Generate and review Process Safety Management reports.
• Lead investigations of process safety incidents.
