Job summary

Brunel Oil and Gas Services WLL Qatar seeks a Process Operator to monitor and operate production units safely and efficiently, ensuring parameters stay within specifications. You will start up and shut down plants, perform inspections, and support maintenance activities.

Diploma or degree in engineering is preferred, with English proficiency required. Experience with DCS/Field operations and SAP/MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Start-up, shutdown and troubleshooting of plant operations.
• Operate DCS Board or Field Operations as applicable.
• Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine plant inspections, field rounds and equipment monitoring.
• Maintain production within required operating limits and product specifications.
• Perform shift handovers and maintain operational logs and reports.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and support commissioning activities.
• Follow SOPs, PTW, JSAs and HSE requirements.
• Support turnaround, shutdown and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Technical and HSE teams to ensure safe plant operations.
• Collect process samples and report abnormalities.

Job description

• Operate and monitor production process units safely and efficiently
• Monitor process parameters including pressure temperature flow and level
• Perform plant start-up shutdown normal operations and process troubleshooting
• Conduct routine plant inspections field rounds and equipment monitoring
• Operate DCS Board or Field Operations as applicable
• Maintain production within required operating limits and product specifications
• Perform shift handovers and maintain operational logs and reports
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and support commissioning activities
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures SOPs Permit to Work PTW JSAs and HSE requirements
• Support turnaround shutdown and maintenance activities
• Coordinate with Maintenance Technical and HSE teams to ensure safe plant operations
• Collect process product samples and report operational abnormalities
• Experience as a Process Operator in a Petrochemical, Ethylene, Polyethylene, Olefins, Chemical, Refinery, LNG, or Gas Processing Plant.
• Hands-on experience in Ethylene or Polyethylene plant operations is highly preferred.
• Experience with DCS/Board Operations and/or Field Operations.
• Strong knowledge of plant start-up, shutdown, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience monitoring process parameters (pressure, temperature, flow, and level).
• Familiarity with PTW, SOPs, JSAs, LOTO, and HSE procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
• Proficient in English.
