Job summary

COOEC in Doha seeks a seasoned HVAC engineer to lead design for offshore platforms and floating facilities on international projects. You will perform HVAC design calculations, overall planning, technical management, and procurement support, ensuring compliance with global standards.

You will coordinate with international clients, review technical documents, and contribute to FAT activities. The role requires strong English skills and a proactive, diligent work approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above.
• Over 15 years of design experience for offshore fixed platforms or floating oil and gas production facilities, with at least 5 international projects where the candidate served as the HVAC discipline lead.
• Proficient in offshore HVAC knowledge, international standards and specifications (including but not limited to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, API, SHELL DEP, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc.), and industry regulations and policies. Preference will be given to candidates with project experience in the Middle East or Brazil.

• Serve as the HVAC engineer for international projects.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to: HVAC design calculations, overall planning, technical management, document design, checking, and review, as well as procurement technical support (such as tender document preparation, bid evaluation, clarifications, drawing review, FAT, etc.）
• Coordinate with international clients to address project-related issues and inquiries raised by the client.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the client.

Education/Experience Requirements/ Certification

• Bachelor degree or above;
• Over 15 years of design experience for offshore fixed platforms or floating oil and gas production facilities, with at least 5 international projects where the candidate served as the HVAC discipline lead.
• Proficient in offshore engineering HVAC专业知识, international standards and specifications (including but not limited to ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, API, SHELL DEP, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc.), and industry regulations and policies. Behavioral/Technical Skills:

• Skilled in using office software such as Excel, Word, and PPT, and familiar with HVAC design software like CARRIER E20II or TRANE.
• Diligent, meticulous, responsible, and hardworking. Willing to work overtime as needed based on project requirements.
• Strong learning ability with the initiative to acquire new skills and knowledge.
• Proficient in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing to meet job requirements. Domestic candidates should have a CET-6 score of 550 or above or a TOEIC score of 700 or above. Native English speakers are preferred for international candidates.
