Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking a Porter (Retail) in Doha, Qatar. The role involves receiving stock from the warehouse, storing it properly, and delivering stock to QDF stores to prevent stock shortages while minimizing losses.

You will ensure goods are moved safely and maintain clean, organized sub-stores in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate should have a high school completion, up to 2 years of experience, and good English communication skills.

• Ability to pull heavy carts of stock through the facility
• Ability to schedule and prioritize workflow
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work closely with others
• Basic math skills for counting inventory
• Good English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Receive stock from the warehouse to sub-stores and deliver stock to QDF stores to avoid stock-out situations
• Handle goods with care and ensure safe movement to minimize damages
• Maintain cleanliness of all operational areas and equipment in sub-stores
• Follow HIA health and safety guidelines and report accidents or breaches promptly
• Perform other department duties as directed by Head of the Department

About the Role

As a Porter (Retail), you will be responsible for receiving stock from the warehouse and storage, and delivery of stock as per shop requirements, ensuring stocks are in the right place at the right time to maximize the sales opportunity whilst keeping shortages and breakages to a minimum.

Key Accountabilities Include

• Perform receiving of stock from the warehouse to sub-stores and delivery of stock to QDF stores to avoid stock-out situation
• Handle all goods with utmost care and ensure safe movement of stock to safeguard minimum damages
• Facilitate cleanliness of all the operational areas and equipment in the sub-stores to maintain a hassle-free workspace
• Follow all guidelines in relation to HIA health and safety, and immediately report any accidents or breaches to the Assistant Merchandiser in a timely manner
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by Head of the Department
