Job summary

InterContinental Doha The City, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Plumber to join our engineering team in Doha. The role requires maintenance of plumbing systems, valves, traps, and on-site piping installations across kitchen and building facilities.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing materials (PPR, PVC, copper, cast iron).
• Strong and confident in pipe welding and brazing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and keep all automatic flushing valves operational.
• Maintain and clean all fat traps within kitchen areas.
• Ensure regular maintenance and chemicals for cleaning soils and stacks.
• Keep roof ventilation and rainwater outlets clear at all times.
• Review building plans to determine plumbing layouts.

InterContinental Doha The City is looking for a Plumber to join our team.

Your day‑to‑day

• Maintain and keep all automatic flushing valves operational
• Maintain and clean all fat traps within the kitchen areas
• Ensure regular maintenance and chemicals are used for cleaning existing soil and stack pipes
• Ensure all roof level ventilation vent pipes and roof rainwater outlets are kept clear at all times
• Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials
• Identify required tools and special equipment and select the type and size of pipe required
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
• Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters and conditioners.

What We Need From You

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a creative approach to problem‑solving.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong problem solving and trouble‑shooting skills
• Knowledgeable in basic plumbing materials selections but not limited to PPR, PVC, Copper and Cast iron
• Strong and confident in pipe welding and brazing is a must
• Can understand and read piping schematics
• Knowledge on Occupational Safety Hazard regulation is a must
