Job summary

InterContinental Doha The City is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our facilities team. The role requires at least two years of relevant experience and a strong background in plumbing systems across hotel environments.

You will maintain and install piping, fixtures, and drainage, read schematics, and adhere to safety regulations while ensuring critical systems operate reliably. Competitive benefits and night/weekend shift flexibility are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Welding and brazing expertise is a must.
• Ability to read and understand piping schematics.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing materials (PPR, PVC, copper, cast iron).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and keep all automatic flushing valves operational
• Maintain and clean all fat traps within the kitchen areas
• Ensure regular maintenance and chemicals are used for cleaning existing soil and stack pipes
• Ensure all roof level ventilation vent pipes and roof rainwater outlets are kept clear at all times
• Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials
• Identify required tools and equipment and select the type and size of pipe required
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
• Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters and conditioners.

Your day-to-day

What we need from you

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Knowledgeable in basic plumbing materials selections but not limited to PPR, PVC, Copper and Cast iron
• Strong and confident in pipe welding and brazing is a must
• Can understand and read piping schematics
• Knowledge on Occupational Safety Hazard regulation is a must
