Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Performance Lead to monitor operational performance, analyze service delivery metrics, and drive continuous excellence across Studio Operations. You will provide data-driven insights and collaborate with managers to improve workflows and readiness.

Reporting to the Manager of Studio Operations, the role focuses on workforce analytics, capacity planning, and performance reporting to support strategic decisions and long-term operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Media, Communications, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications in a related field are preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in broadcast or media operations, with 7+ years in performance analytics/planning/workforce management.

Responsibilities

• Produce regular operational performance reports, dashboards, KPI monitoring and tracking, and trend analysis for Studio Operations management.
• Evaluate workforce utilization, shift effectiveness, resource allocation, and capacity to optimize efficiency.
• Track service quality indicators, production incidents, technical disruptions, and escalations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and monitor corrective actions and performance improvement initiatives.
• Work with Managers and Team Leaders to improve workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
• Support workforce development by identifying training needs and succession planning.
• Support capacity planning, forecasting, and readiness assessments to meet production demands.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations to Studio Operations leadership for strategic planning.
• Coordinate pre-production readiness reviews for studios, galleries, events, and major productions.
• Attend management reviews and maintain performance dashboards and data sources.

Job Description

As the Performance Lead you will be responsible for monitoring operational performance, analyzing service delivery metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, supporting continuous operational excellence across Studio Operations. The role provides data-driven insights, workforce analytics, performance reporting, and operational readiness assessments to support management decision-making and long-term operational effectiveness. Reporting directly to the Manager of Studio Operations, you Performance Lead works closely with managers and team leaders to improve workflows, reduce operational bottlenecks, and enhance service delivery across all studio units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce regular operational performance reports, dashboards, KPI monitoring and tracking, and trend analysis for Studio Operations management, identifying risks and gaps.


• Evaluate workforce utilization, shift effectiveness, resource allocation, and operational capacity to optimize efficiency and support business requirements.


• Track service quality indicators, production incidents, technical disruptions, and operational escalations.


• Conduct root cause analysis and monitor implementation of corrective actions and performance improvement initiatives.


• Work closely with Managers and Team Leaders to improve workflows, reduce operational bottlenecks, and enhance service delivery.


• Support workforce development initiatives by identifying training needs, competency gaps, succession planning requirements, and performance improvement opportunities.


• Support operational capacity planning, workforce forecasting, and readiness assessments to ensure adequate resources are available to meet current and future production demands.


• Provide evidence-based recommendations to Studio Operations leadership to support strategic planning, resource forecasting, and long-term operational requirements.


• Coordinate pre-production readiness reviews for studios, galleries, special events, and major productions.

Other Responsibilities:

• Attend operational and management review meetings and present performance findings.


• Maintain and update performance dashboards, reporting tools, and operational data sources.


• Support the development of performance standards, metrics, and operational KPIs.


• Contribute to operational planning, budgeting inputs, and resource forecasting through performance data.


• Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested across Al Jazeera Media Network.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor Degree in Media, Communications, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.


• Postgraduate qualifications in a related field are preferred.


• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in broadcast or media operations, of which at least 7 years should have been in an operational performance, analytics, planning, or workforce management role.
