Job summary

Petrotech Group is looking for a Mechanical Technician based in Qatar. This role involves all mechanical-related work for fabricating and assembling PLC and control panels, including cut-outs, drilling, and installation of components.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical fabrication, knowledge of earthing standards, and the ability to read technical drawings. A commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in control panel or switchgear panel fabrication.
• Basic understanding of electrical components mounting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical cut‑outs on control panels for operators and other devices.
• Drill and prepare holes as per layout drawings.
• Install and assemble earth bus bars.
• Ensure safety procedures during fabrication and assembly.

Skills

Hands-on experience in mechanical fabrication of control panels

Knowledge of earthing and grounding standards for control panels

Ability to read mechanical drawings and measure accurately

Experience with tools like drilling machines and jigsaws
