Job summary

Milaha Maritime & Logistics is seeking a foreman for grit blasting and painting operations in a shipyard environment. 2-3 years of experience operating grit blasting machines and painting is required, with a background in heavy engineering preferred.

Follow specified systems to ensure regulatory compliance.

Job description

Communication: Internal Communication: Foreman, Supporting workers. Purpose: To communicate with foreman to carry out the job in a systematic and professional method. To communicate with the people inside the organization. Advantage to communicate with people in the region during work. External Communication: N/A Purpose: N/A Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Accountability: Are accountable for their acts and omissions. Responsibility: To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses. Authority: To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.

Responsibilities

Carry out grit blasting, sand blasting and painting works.
Operate jet washing and steam washing equipment.
Operate Man lift equipment and obtain certificates.
Ensure all works are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with divisions Quality Assurance procedures and Quality Manuals.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.
Follow specified systems, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and other requirements/standards.
Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace.

Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualification: Primary school education. Experience certificate or vocation training.

Professional Experience: 2-3 years of experience in operating grit blasting machines and painting. Shipyard and marine experience will be preferred.

Geographic Experience: Records of good company work experience.

Computer Skills: Not required.

Language Skills: Arabic / Hindi / English language knowledge will be an added advantage.

Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge: Experience certificate from heavy engineering organizations.
