Job summary

Al Abdulghani Motors is seeking a skilled paint technician to prepare and color-match paints for vehicle repairs in our Doha workshop. You will use spectrophotometers and color-matching software to ensure correct shade and consistency, and operate automated scales and mixing equipment to produce primers, finishes and thinners as required.

You will also verify outputs against job cards, manage monthly stock counts, maintain equipment and comply with all safety and procedural rules.

Responsibilities

• Utilize digital spectrophotometers and color-matching software to retrieve and match factory paint codes.
• Measure, mix, and tint paint toners, hardeners, and thinners to exact specs using automated scales.
• Verify and issue mixed paints, primers, clearcoats, and consumables against the active Job Card.
• Operate the paint agitator at shift start and stop as per supplier guidance to protect equipment.
• Conduct monthly physical count of paint materials and consumables; report to supervisor.
• Maintain paint supplies and mixing machines.
• Follow company rules, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain consistent attendance and adhere to workshop shifts and breaks.

Job Purpose

• Calculate and combine different colors of paint and solvent to create the correct consistency and color.
• Able to lift several canisters of paint and attach them to the paint-mixing machine as well as operate the machine to ensure that it correctly combines the ingredients to make the right kind and shade of paint.

Principal Accountabilities

• Utilize digital spectrophotometers and computerized color-matching software to accurately retrieve and match factory paint codes.
• Measure, mix, and tint paint toners, hardeners, and thinners to exact specifications using automated digital scales.
• Verify and issue all mixed paints, primers, clearcoats, and consumables strictly against the specific active Job Card assigned to the vehicle being repaired.
• Turn on the paint agitator machine at the start of each shift to ensure proper suspension of paint pigments and securely turn it off as recommended by supplier to maintain equipment safety and longevity.
• Conduct a full physical count of all Paint Materials and Consumable items on the final working day of each month and share the report to direct Supervisor.
• Responsible for maintaining the paint supplies received and the mixing machines.
• Ensure to know, follow and abide by company rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Maintain consistent daily attendance and punctuality, adhering strictly to the scheduled workshop shifts and break timings.

Required Qualifications

Education : Minimum High School

Years of Experience: 3-5 years in related field
