Job summary

Brunel Energy is actively seeking an OT Cyber Security Engineer for a prominent Oil & Gas company in Qatar. The role centers on protecting OT environments, including DCS, SIS, metering, and machinery monitoring, from cyber threats.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of engineering experience in oil & gas, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of OT cyber security tools, networks, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in automation and control systems, industrial control systems, cyber security, or computer science engineering.
• 4 years experience in engineering in oil and gas environment.
• Understanding of OT infrastructure communications and protocols.
• Knowledge of OT cyber security solutions and tools like endpoints, IAM, and SIEM.
• Familiar with IEC, ISA, NIST, ISO standards.

We are currently hiring for an OT Cyber Security Engineer for a well-known Oil & Gas company in Qatar.

Position: OT Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Qatar

Employment Type: Permanent

Work Schedule: 8 Hours / 5 Days per Week

Bachelor's degree in automation and control systems, industrial control system, Cyber Security, or computer science engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

4 years experience in engineering in oil and gas environment.

Understanding of different operational technologies environment for example DCS, SIS, metering, machinery monitoring / controls systems, and Instrument asset management systems.

Understanding of OT Infrastructure communication and protocols.

Knowledge of OT Cyber Security Infrastructure and solutions such as Endpoint Protection Platforms, Industrial Networks and boundaries protection, OT IDS, SIEM, Authentication and Access control, etc.

Familiar with industry- specific regulations and standards that impact Operational Technology Cyber Security such us (IEC, ISA, NIST, ISO).
