Job summary

HW3 is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Engineer to support site activities in Qatar, securing industrial control systems during FAT/SAT, commissioning, and early operations on a major QatarEnergy project. You will implement on-site cybersecurity measures, verify firewall configurations, segmentation, and access controls, and collaborate with field teams to meet IEC 62443 requirements.

Strong DeltaV experience and proven site commissioning in OT cybersecurity are essential; IT-only backgrounds are

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity appliances and techniques used in DeltaV and similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of OT cybersecurity architecture and controls.
• Experience with IEC 62443 and oil & gas OT cybersecurity specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site OT cybersecurity implementation, verification, and compliance during FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Verify firewall configurations, network segmentation, zone/conduit design, endpoint hardening, and access controls.
• Support integration between control systems and security tools (firewalls, IDS, endpoint protection).
• Execute cybersecurity test cases, support vulnerability remediation follow-up, and close punch-list items.
• Ensure alignment with IEC 62443 and customer OT cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide broader cybersecurity consulting: assessments, remediation planning, and installation/tuning of cybersecurity solutions.
• Interface with field support engineers, regional offices, and expert resources to resolve issues.
• Participate in customer workshops regarding cybersecurity evaluations.

Location: Qatar (onshore & offshore)

Role type: Field / Commissioning support – FAT/SAT through early operations

A global automation and control systems vendor is seeking an OT Cybersecurity Engineer to secure industrial control systems during FAT/SAT, commissioning, and early operations on a major QatarEnergy project.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on-site OT cybersecurity implementation, verification, and compliance during FAT/SAT and commissioning
• Verify firewall configurations, network segmentation, zone/conduit design, endpoint hardening, and access controls
• Support integration between control systems and security tools (firewalls, IDS, endpoint protection)
• Execute cybersecurity test cases, support vulnerability remediation follow-up, and close punch-list items
• Ensure alignment with IEC 62443 and customer OT cybersecurity requirements
• Provide broader cybersecurity consulting: assessments, remediation planning, and installation/tuning of cybersecurity solutions

You’ll need

• Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity appliances, applications, tools, and techniques used in DeltaV and similar platforms
• Solid understanding of OT cybersecurity architecture and controls
• Experience with DeltaV networking and cybersecurity solutions, antivirus, firewalls, switches, VLANs, and zone/conduit design
• Working knowledge of IEC 62443 and relevant OT cybersecurity specifications in oil & gas
• Proven site commissioning experience in OT cybersecurity (IT-only background is not suitable)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in a formal, safety-critical environment
