The role requires 10+ years of Oracle ERP functional consulting, strong Fusion Finance expertise, and proven leadership in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle ERP functional consulting experience.
• Hands-on Oracle Fusion Finance experience including production support.
• Strong functional expertise across GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Expenses, Tax, or Project Financial Management.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Finance Functional Consultant to lead day-to-day application support for a Qatar-based customer. The consultant will serve as the primary Finance functional contact, manage the ticket queue, guide a small support team, coordinate with business users, and deliver minor enhancements and continuous improvements while ensuring service quality and SLA adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support and Service Delivery

• Provide L1.5/L2/L3 functional support for incidents, service requests, problems, and production defects.
• Monitor ticket queues, prioritize work by severity and business impact, and drive resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Perform issue analysis, reproduce defects, document resolutions, and reduce repeat incidents through root-cause and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Oracle Support and internal technical teams for product defects or complex issues.
• Prepare operational metrics, ageing analysis, risks, dependencies, and weekly/monthly service reports.

Functional Ownership

• Own functional support across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Expenses, Tax, and related financial processes.
• Apply strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, period close, reconciliation, accounting, and cross-module flows.
• Work with technical teams on reports, interfaces, data fixes, integrations, and root-cause analysis.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a small team of functional and technical support consultants.
• Allocate/Work on tickets and enhancement tasks, review progress, remove blockers, and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions, maintain support documentation, and improve team readiness and backup coverage.
• Coordinate effectively across onsite and offshore teams.

Minor Enhancements and Continuous Improvement

• Engage business users to clarify requirements and assess solution options for small enhancements.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scenarios, and deployment inputs.
• Coordinate build, testing, release, and post-deployment validation.
• Assess Oracle quarterly updates, identify relevant impacts, and coordinate regression testing.

Customer and Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary functional point of contact for Finance stakeholders and service management teams.
• Participate in operational reviews, governance meetings, and prioritization discussions.
• Communicate incidents, risks, workarounds, and recovery plans clearly to customer stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, ticket reduction, and improved user experience.

Required Experience and Skills

• 10+ years of Oracle ERP functional consulting experience, with strong experience in application support or AMS engagements. Confidential - For recruitment and profile sourcing
• Hands-on Oracle Fusion Finance experience, including production support and minor enhancements.
• Strong functional expertise in at least four Finance areas such as GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Expenses, Tax, or Project Financial Management.
• Demonstrated experience leading a small support team and managing customer-facing responsibilities.
• Good understanding of incident, problem, change, release, and SLA management practices.
• Experience with a ticketing platform such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, stakeholder-management, and English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in an onsite customer environment and collaborate with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Fusion Finance certification.
• Prior GCC or Middle East customer experience.
• ITIL Foundation certification or practical ITIL service-management experience.
• Exposure to OTBI, BI Publisher, FBDI, OIC, REST/SOAP integrations, and Oracle Support SR management.
• Arabic communication skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
