Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and refractions; diagnose ocular conditions; fit, order and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses; evaluate vision therapy results; educate patients on eye health and contact lens wear
• Interpret vision test results for diagnosis of vision conditions
• Identify abnormalities or diseases requiring intervention from an ophthalmologist or other medical professional
• Stay up-to-date with current optometry developments and new technologies
• Communicate patient vision needs and educate about eye care and correction options
• Document patient information accurately in EMR systems
• Follow up with patients on treatment progress
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other medical staff as needed
