Job summary

QatarEnergy is seeking an Area Operator to operate and monitor condensate refinery units, including CDU, hydrotreaters, and CCR platformer, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous production.

You will respond to process deviations, maintain equipment, support production targets, and uphold safety and environmental standards. Willingness to work rotating shifts and outdoor field conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years hands-on refinery operations experience, especially CDU, hydrotreaters and CCR platforms.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, and control systems.

Job description

Primary Purpose Of The Job

To operate and monitor assigned process units within the condensate refinery area, including Condensate Distillation Unit (CDU), Hydrotreaters, and Continuous Catalytic Reforming (CCR) Platformer to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. The Area Operator is responsible for maintaining operational integrity, responding to process deviations, and supporting the achievement of production targets while adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• High level of safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts and outdoor field conditions.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum 5 - 10 years of hands-on experience in refinery operations, specifically in Condensate Distillation Units, Hydrotreaters, and CCR Platformers. Proven experience in operating and troubleshooting process equipment such as pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, and control systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Knowledge of safety systems including HAZOP, LOTO, PTW, and emergency response procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
