QatarEnergy in Qatar seeks a seasoned Operations Technician for refinery/chemical plant environments. The role emphasizes safety, quick decision making, and working in rotating shifts with extended hours as required.

You will lead a shift, monitor DCS operations and ensure procedural compliance to protect plant integrity. Requirements include Higher Secondary Certificate and HNC, plus 8 years of refinery/chemical plant experience and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years technical training at HNC level or equivalent.
• 8 years of operations experience in multiple units of Refinery / Chemical Plant.
• Good oral and reading knowledge of English.
• Solid knowledge of DCS / Panel Operations.
• Team Leadership, Surveillance and vigilance skills.
• Good knowledge of Operational Procedures.
• High level of alertness, anticipation and analysis.

Responsabilités

• Operate and monitor refinery/chemical plant processes.

Primary Purpose of the Job

The job demands more alertness, quick thinking and decision making often dealing with the processes involving hot, high temperature hydrocarbon at elevated pressure. Wrong decisions can have an impact on plant integrity and production loss. The incumbent is required to work in rotating shifts; required to work extended hours as per work requirement.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3 Years technical training - HNC Level or equivalent.
• 8 Years of operations experience in multiple units of Refinery / Chemical Plant.
