Job summary

FMM in Qatar is looking for an Operational Team Leader to supervise custodial staff and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and client satisfaction. You will lead a team of 30-50 cleaning operatives and train them in proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in a relevant field and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or cleaning within facilities management. Knowledge of advanced cleaning methods is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a team-leading or supervisory role.
• Experience in Housekeeping or Cleaning in Facilities Management.
• BICSc / FIGR / ISSA certification preferred.

Accountabilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and client satisfaction.
• Train, mentor, and motivate custodial team members, guiding proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
• Inspect public and back‑of‑house areas regularly to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and address deficiencies promptly.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cleaning schedules.
• Lead a team of 30-50 cleaning operatives.
• Advanced technical knowledge: strip & seal of floors, floor restoration, advanced chemical knowledge, and use of different types of cleaning equipment and machines.

Main Purpose

An Operational Team Leader will achieve the highest quality of cleanliness by directing and coordinating the Soft Services operation in accordance with the standards and policies of FMM.

Qualification

• Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent in Business Management / Hotel & Restaurant Management / Housekeeping / Building Maintenance.
• Previous experience in Housekeeping or Cleaning in Facilities Management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a team‑leading or supervisory role.
• BICSc / FIGR / ISSA (preferred).
