Job summary

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in the Master’s Program in Human Rights at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, with start in August 2027. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses and supervise theses.

Applicants should hold a doctorate in human rights, law or political science, have a strong research record in international human rights law, and be able to contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Hold a doctorate in the field of human rights, law or political sciences.
• Demonstrate a track record of scientific research and publications in international peer‑reviewed journals.
• Possess competence and experience in graduate‑level teaching.
• Exhibit proficiency in the Arabic language.
• Be capable of attracting external support and funding for research.
• Be willing to engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research.
• Have the potential to build a global reputation in specialised research fields.

Responsibilities

• Deliver graduate level courses.
• Supervise master’s and doctorate students in the program while actively engaging in the academic life of DI.
• Publish research in specialised and related fields in leading refereed peer reviewed journals and/or reputable academic publishing houses.
• Undertake administrative responsibilities and contribute to the needs of the program, school, institute and community.
• Participate in various committees at the program, school and institute levels.
