Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer (CP) based in Qatar (Doha) with a plan to move to China (Qingdao) through early 2030. The 36 months contract role oversees vendor packages, equipment, and materials to meet schedules and milestones, coordinating across vendors and construction yards.

The ideal candidate has a sciences or engineering degree and at least 4 years’ experience in oil & gas project functions, with strong HSE, quality, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering.
• 4+ years in project functions (PM, eng, construction, procurement) in Oil & Gas.
• Strong HSE focus and safety advocacy.
• Knowledge of offshore design, construction and operations.
• Experience with materials and equipment manufacturing, yard fabrication.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Navisworks, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of HSE and quality standards across sites.
• Monitor vendor performance against KPIs, delivery dates, ROS dates, and project objectives.
• Coordinate vendor and sub-vendor readiness for key milestones.
• Identify threats and risks, propose mitigation and improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement and lessons learnt.
• Communicate vendor performance to management.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors and stakeholders for milestone events.
• Adhere to project team charter and code of business practice.
• Promote and perform duties in line with project success principles.
