Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Field Engineer to apply analytical thinking and field experience across offshore installation projects. The role involves solving straightforward field/yard issues under guidance and ensuring adherence to company procedures and safety policies.

The candidate will develop vessel layouts, plan loadouts for offshore transportation, and participate in readiness reviews and job safety analyses.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
3–5 years offshore installation experience.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools.
Adequate knowledge of design and offshore project execution.
Microsoft Office suite and any 3D software experience.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Willingness to travel to different job sites.

Responsibilities

Ensure all work is carried out safely per Quality, Health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures.
Travel offshore for job execution and be ready to work onshore as required.
Recommend changes in technical details for safe operations and clarity in installation procedures.
Develop vessel layout and barge loadout plans for transportation of materials offshore.
Participate in Constructability sessions, readiness reviews, and hazard studies, and implement recommendations.
Review project drawings, report discrepancies, and ensure work fits equipment capabilities.
Prepare offshore installation procedures per Company Procedures, outlining methods, sequences, and required aids.
