Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd seeks a Principal Instrumentation Designer to lead the discipline on offshore/instrumentation design projects. You will create and review 3D models and detailed drawings, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure deliverables meet project specs and timelines.

The role requires experience in leading instrumentation teams, developing design procedures, and delivering documentation for MDR-compliant execution in oil and gas projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Design.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards and codes.
• Detail-oriented with ability to lead multidisciplinary design efforts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop arrangement and detail drawings (conceptual to detail) for instrumentation design.
• Develop 3D models and ensure clash-free interfaces with other disciplines.
• Lead Discipline team activities and coordinate interfaces across disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, MDR, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare/review instrument deliverables including 3D models, layouts, and hook-up details.
