Job Overview

The NDT Tech provides solutions to problems in the NDT discipline without supervisory approval and evaluates and selects solutions from established operating procedures and scientific procedures.

Responsibilities

• Examine welds/materials by Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Dye Penetrant (PT) based on code and contractual specifications
• Determine conformity/non‑conformity flaws and report accurately
• Perform NDT examination of welds and materials using the specified methods (RT, UT, PT, MT) according to a written Project NDT plan, NDT procedures, code, and contractual specification
• Execute the examination by approved NDT procedures and internationally recognized codes/specs
• Determine acceptance/rejection based on defined criteria; liaison with assigned QC inspector to determine completion of rectification work
• Report conforming work for rectification; coordinate inspection by QC inspector before re‑examination by original NDT method, and liaise with QC inspector to confirm rectification completion

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Engineering Degree/High School Diploma
• 3+ years in Radiography or Ultrasonic
• ASNT or CSWIP qualification
• Occupationally qualified under internationally recognized schemes (e.g., PCN, CSWIP, ASNT)
• Proficient in assessing examination results accurately, rating welds, and reporting according to relevant code/spec acceptance criteria
