Job summary

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a MYP Coordinator for Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on leading the IB Middle Years Programme implementation and ongoing development to ensure programme integrity and high student achievement.

The successful candidate will manage IB authorisation processes, support MYP teachers, oversee the Personal Project and assessment moderation, and drive CPD with Nord Anglia University while engaging with parents and the broader school

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification required.
• IB MYP workshop training at Cat 1 or Cat 2 level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IB MYP curriculum, assessment criteria and eAssessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation and review of the IB MYP in line with IB standards.
• Manage authorisation, evaluation and self-study processes and liaise with IB.
• Coach and develop MYP teachers in unit design and assessment practices.
• Oversee the Personal Project process and ATL skill development across MYP.
• Moderate and standardise MYP assessment across subject groups.
• Coordinate eAssessment preparation and external moderation submissions.
• Lead MYP-focused CPD and engagement with Nord Anglia University.

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a MYP Coordinator to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar.

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable MYP Coordinator to lead the implementation and ongoing development of the MYP at EGA, ensuring programme integrity, teacher excellence and the highest standards of student learning.

The Role

We seek an individual to join as MYP Coordinator where your focus will be:

• Leading the planning, implementation and ongoing review of the IB Middle Years Programme in line with IB standards and practices
• Managing IB authorisation, evaluation and self-study processes; acting as the primary liaison with the IB organisation
• Supporting, coaching and developing MYP teachers in effective programme delivery, unit design and assessment
• Overseeing the Personal Project process, service as action and ATL skill development across the MYP
• Leading the moderation and standardisation of MYP assessment across all subject groups
• Coordinating eAssessment preparation and external moderation submissions
• Leading MYP-focused staff CPD and ensuring engagement with Nord Anglia University
• Communicating MYP expectations, progress and outcomes clearly to parents and the school community

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

• A recognised teaching qualification and classroom teaching experience in an IB MYP school
• IB MYP workshop training at Category 1 or 2 level
• In-depth knowledge of MYP curriculum, assessment criteria, eAssessment and the Personal Project
• Understanding of IB programme standards, practices and authorisation requirements
• Experience in an IB coordinator or curriculum leadership role (desirable)
• Excellent organisational, communication and coaching skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
• International school experience, ideally within the Middle East (desirable)
