Job summary

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a Support Specialist Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar. The role delivers targeted academic intervention to MTSS-identified students and provides ESL instruction for multilingual learners.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers to plan differentiated instruction, monitor progress using MAP Growth and classroom assessments, and develop SSPs in partnership with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Teaching qualification/license recognized by the school.
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive setting.
• Experience delivering literacy and/or mathematics intervention.
• Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EAL) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI, differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
• Experience using student assessment data to inform instruction and monitor progress.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted academic intervention to students identified through MTSS.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention through small-group and individualized instruction in literacy and mathematics.
• Plan and deliver ESL instruction for identified multilingual learners.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan, implement, and monitor differentiated instructional strategies and accommodations.
• Monitor student progress using data sources such as MAP Growth and classroom assessments.
• Develop, implement, and review Student Support Plans (SSPs) with teachers and families.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school leadership regarding student progress and support strategies.

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are looking for an experienced Support Specialist Teacher to join our team, delivering targeted academic intervention to students identified through the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and providing ESL instruction for identified multilingual learners.

The Role

• Delivering targeted academic intervention to students identified through the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
• Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention through small-group and individualized instruction in literacy and mathematics
• Planning and delivering English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction for identified multilingual learners
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to plan, implement, and monitor differentiated instructional strategies and accommodations
• Monitoring student progress using multiple data sources, including MAP Growth and classroom assessments

The Successful Candidate Will Possess
