Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Munitions Technician to manage the receipt, storage, inspection and shipment of munitions and related equipment at the site. You will ensure compliance with USAF standards and the site QMS, supervise crew when needed, and support timely movement of munitions via TICMS and transport systems.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of munitions handling, strong safety discipline, and the ability to obtain the required Secret clearance. International travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of USAF supply and tech order systems.
• Proficient with Windows, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Hold a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation license.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completed USAF Munitions Systems training or US service equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain Secret US Government Clearance; US citizenship required.
• Wear proper PPE as required for task.
• Able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Normal color perception and depth of vision.

Responsibilities

• Safely observe and enforce USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards.
• Conduct munitions work according to quality processes and identify issues.
• Recondition, repair and replace defective munitions and containers.
• Perform munitions storage actions per explosives standards.
• Maintain warehouse inventories and correct discrepancies.
• Assist with inspecting munitions per applicable orders and TOs.
• Operate TICMS as assigned to site processes.
• Assist with inspection of facilities, vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare and deliver safety briefings to crew members.
• Support shipments preparation for air, sea and surface transport.
