Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking a QE MOCC Lead Engineer to lead the newly created QE MOCC Department. You will monitor and reduce aircraft delays, ensure 100% on-time departures, and improve dispatch reliability for the QE Commercial Fleet.

The role requires 6+ years in related roles, type rating on Gulfstream G650ER and/or Bombardier BD700, and strong managerial skills to mentor staff and coordinate with CAMO and MRO partners. Based in Doha, Qatar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 6 years of job-related experience.
• Minimum 6 years of certifying experience with four years MOCC experience and technical management experience.
• Must hold type rating preferably on Gulfstream G650ER and/or Bombardier Global BD700 aircraft type.
• Experience on Gulfstream and/or Bombardier Business Jets.
• Managerial skills - delegate work, set direction and manage workflow with mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops the QE MOCC Department and monitors 24/7/365 operations.
• Coordinates QE MOCC Engineers to perform at the highest level.
• Ensures accurate handover and logging between shifts.
• Develops procedures for QE MOCC documenting department requirements and practices.
• Informs QE Senior Manager CAMO of defects impacting schedules for agreed actions.
• Manages fleet reliability by tracking repetitive defects and root causes.
• Collaborates with QE CAMO to adjust task frequencies for reliability and cost.
• Disseminates aircraft discrepancy information to QE IOC, Fleet Management and QE CAMO.
• Coordinates with MROs to support continued airworthiness, including third-party work.
• Ensures QE MOCC staff training is current and aligns with company policies.
