Job summary

International Organization for Migration in Doha seeks a professional to organize psychoeducation and counselling sessions within MHPSS services. You will support groups, individual counselling, and coordinate with clinicians and social workers.

The role involves capacity-building for staff, reporting in the data system, and liaising with authorities while maintaining humanitarian principles and multilingual communication under pressure in an emergency context.

Qualifications

• University degree in counselling psychology or relevant field with 3 years of experience
• High school degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Proven work experience in a Mental Health Counselling Unit or similar

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing MHPSS services through individual and group sessions
• Coordinate with mental health specialists and refer to specialized services when needed
• Assist primary caregivers to support families with members having mental health challenges
• Support recovery plans for individuals, couples, families and groups
• Organize platforms and workshops for disseminating MHPSS information
• Record services in the Smart Camp SYNC data entry system and produce visibility materials
• Organize capacity-building activities for staff, CAS focal points, QRC and volunteers
• Support monitoring and evaluation of the programme
• Perform other duties as assigned
