Job summary

Arla Foods A.m.b.a in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a Merchandising Supervisor to lead our in-store execution and ensure Perfect Store principles across our outlets. You will manage a merchandisers team, train, and align with sales and category teams to secure optimal shelf presence.

The role requires at least 3 years FMCG merchandising supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and fluency in English. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.

Merchandising Supervisor - Doha, Qatar

You will join the Arla Qatar Sales team and you will be working together with skilled and dedicated colleagues where a growth mindset, agility, and being frontline-obsessed are part of the everyday job. You will be a part of the Sales Leadership Team and you will play a key role to secure our brands and has perfect branding and visibility in-store, according to Arla principles. Beyond your team of Merchandisers you will be working closely together with our Sales Leadership team to ensure we are all working towards the same goal.

How would you make an impact in this role;

• Supervising our merchandising team to ensure excellent in-store execution according to our Perfect Store Principles.
• Motivate, inspire, develop and lead our merchandising team to excel in their job.
• Training and follow-up is important and you will play an active role to ensure that the team is in constant learning, in order to develop themselves and our business.
• Strong alignment on execution priorities together with the rest of our Sales Team and Category team.
• Merchandisers payroll and Vacation Follow-ups.
• Drive POSM usage in alignment with our strategic guidelines and priorities.
• Engage and develop strong relationships with important stakeholders on outlet level.
• Support in Promotional events and Merchandising activities (Ramadan, Back To School, festivals etc.) in alignment with our activity plan.
• Frequently review our merchandisers routes planning to ensure optimal set-up and to drive efficiencies.
• Take ownership of gaining and maintaining share of shelf, aligned with market share objectives, and act as the voice of the business in the trade to establish and sustain this goal.
• Track competitor activities and market execution and provide regular internal reporting based on data and insights collected through merchandisers.
• Provide timely market intelligence on upcoming competitor launches, innovations, promotions, pricing changes, and other relevant trade developments.
• Lead expiry management across all stores, ensuring strict adherence to FIFO principles and conducting periodic expiry checks to minimize waste and protect product freshness.
• Track and improve distribution, ensuring optimal product availability and implementation of the agreed MSL across all relevant outlets.

What will make you successful in this role;

• Minimum 3 Years of experience as FMCG Merchandising Supervisor
• Demonstrated strong execution skills - directly or indirectly related to merchandising
• Strong leadership and communications skills
• A proven track record to drive excellent route planning and optimization.
• Fluent in both verbal and written English.
• Good knowledge MS office /Excel & PowerPoint
