Job summary

VALENCE HOSPITALITY in Doha Qatar is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee planning, design review, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of MEP systems. You will ensure compliance with QCS, local regulations, and project schedules while coordinating with civil, structural, and architectural teams.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in MEP construction, proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit MEP, and strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in MEP construction or building services.
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, fire alarm, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Proficiency with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority requirements.
• MMUP/UPDA Engineering Registration required.
• Valid Qatar Driving License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, and architectural teams.
• Supervise MEP installation works at construction sites.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Perform testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Manage project documentation and participate in handover and maintenance support.

• 8–10 years of experience in MEP construction or building services (depending on the position level).
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, fire alarm, firefighting, and ELV systems.
• Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Ashghal standards, and local authority requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• Strong understanding of testing and commissioning procedures.
• Valid Qatar Driving License (preferred).
• MMUP/UPDA Engineering Registration required.
