Job summary

Técnicas Reunidas in Qatar seeks a MMUP/UPDA Grade A certified engineer with 12–15 years of relevant experience to lead the technical purchase cycle and ensure quality and schedule compliance on major projects.

The role requires collaboration with client teams and internal departments, knowledge of local standards, and active participation in project meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial experience in Qatar/GCC.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
• MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification/registration is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Qatar Engineering standards, regulations, and Project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with objectives in development and execution of works related to the Requisitions of which it is Originator.
• Oversee complete development of the cycle of \"Technical Purchase\" of the assigned equipment.
• Full cooperation with Client and other Departments, providing the needed technical information.
• As Requisitions Originator, coordinate collaboration at the appropriate level to ensure quality and schedule.
• Attend Project meetings when required.
• Review activities and update TAES weekly with completed work.
• Identify technical and economical improvements and propose them.
• Propose Lessons Learned and Value Engineering actions.
• Take responsibility for own professional growth and use of tools.

Specific functions:

• Ensuring compliance with objectives established in the development and execution, at the expected time and with the required quality, of the works related to the Requisitions of which it is Originator:

Technical level required.

Scope of work defined.

Budget of hours assigned.

Corporate and Project procedures.

Schedule

• Responsible of the complete development of the cycle of "Technical Purchase" of the assigned equipment.
• Full cooperation with the Client (response of comments at the expected time and with the required quality), other Departments (Technical Office, Process, Procurement, Inspection, Projects ...), making every effort to provide the technical information needed to develop their own work.
• As Requisitions Originator, sufficient capacity and hierarchy to request and demand the necessary collaboration at the appropriate level of technical quality and schedule to the other Departments with influence into the equipment which it is ultimately responsible.
• Attendance at Project meetings when required.
• Review assigned activities and Include information about activities completed in TAES application in weekly basis.
• Identify technical and economical improvements opportunities in their work area and propose them.
• Propose Lessons Learned and Value Engineering actions.
• Take responsibility of the own professional growth, taking advantage of any learning opportunity.

Requirements:

Valid MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification/registration.

• Minimum 12-15 years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial experience in Qatar/GCC;
• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline;
• Strong relevant Engineering and Project experience;
• Previous experience working on major projects in Qatar is highly preferred;
• Good knowledge of Qatar Engineering standards, regulations, and Project requirements;
• Strong communication, coordination, and technical skills.
