The American Academy School Qatar is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the American curriculum for assigned grade levels. You will monitor student progress, provide feedback, and participate in curriculum discussions.

You will maintain accurate records, communicate with families and colleagues, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Prior international or American curriculum experience is an advantage.

Qualificações

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
• Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned with the American curriculum.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or Mathematics Education; teaching license preferred.
• Effective classroom management and inclusive, student-centered learning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with families and staff in a multicultural context.

Role Description

The Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the American curriculum for assigned grade levels, using diverse instructional strategies to support different learning styles. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and assessments, teaching classes, monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will participate in curriculum discussions, maintain accurate records, communicate regularly with families and colleagues, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Additional duties include supervising learners during school activities, participating in professional development, and supporting school events as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to explain concepts clearly at different grade levels.
• Demonstrated experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, aligning instruction with the American curriculum and school standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field; teaching license or certification preferred.
• Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff in a multicultural context.
• Comfort with educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Prior international or American curriculum teaching experience is an advantage.
