Job summary

Nakilat in Qatar seeks a skilled Marine Purchaser to manage day-to-day requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery aboard vessels and strict policy compliance. The role requires strong supplier evaluation and market awareness to support efficient procurement workflows.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years in procurement, with SAP proficiency and familiarity with MS Office. On-site Doha position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
• Recognized international certification in Supply Chain or Logistics is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement of materials, equipment or spares.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely ordering of day-to-day requisitions via procurement system following policies.
• Monitor requisitions, generate RFQs from approved suppliers, and review quotations.
• Raise Purchase Orders after End User approval and track from supplier to delivery on-board.
• Monitor lifecycle of PRs/POs/GRNs/Invoices and support SLA requirements.
• Assist Accounting with disputed invoices and support budget preparations.
• Ensure goods/services comply with international rules (SOLAS, Wheel mark).
• Evaluate suppliers with Marine Officers to maintain valuable supplier base.
