Job summary

Saipem in Qatar is seeking a Service Buyer with procurement background and 10 years of experience to manage end-to-end purchasing of goods and subcontracts for major energy and infrastructure projects. You will issue RFQs, support bid proposals, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with corporate policies using SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Procurement background required.
• 10 years of procurement experience.
• English language required.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out activities to purchase goods and/or services/subcontracts per cost/time/quality requirements.
• Issue RFQ to vendors based on requests.
• Support vendors during bid preparation with confidentiality.
• Prepare bid tabulation to compare proposals and guide vendor selection.
• Lead commercial/economic negotiations.
• Prepare purchase or subcontract orders under standard General Purchase Terms and Conditions and Project Special.
• Manage deviations to purchase conditions.
• Close bid process and inform unsuccessful bidders.
• Follow up and negotiate PO/subcontract revisions.
• Perform activities in line with procedures and systems.
• Check technical documentation with Requisition and Technical Evaluation.
