Job summary

EY is looking for a Manager to join our Valuation and Modelling and Economics practice, with focus on Financial Services Sector (Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance, and Wealth and Asset Management).

You will lead valuation engagements, co-develop approaches with clients, and deliver insights through Excel models, reports and presentations, while seeking opportunities to expand services across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or business; 7–12 years of valuation experience.
• Expertise in valuation methodologies, market sizing, feasibility and business plan modelling.
• Strong financial modelling skills and understanding of IFRS fair value measurements and related standards.

The opportunity

EY is looking for a Manager to join our leading Valuation and Modelling and Economics practice, with focus on Financial Services Sector (Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), Insurance, and Wealth and Asset Management (WAM)).

Your Key Responsibilities

EY has an established industry leading practice in Strategy and Transactions practice. We advise our clients in addressing their transaction and non-transaction related decision-making process including strategic planning, identification and assessment of value creation for various purposes including strategic expansions / optimizations, reshaping results, operating model redefinition, feasibility assessment/business planning, financial reporting, market valuation, transactional considerations, etc.

You will understand the key business drivers, co-developing our approach with the client, agreeing value measurements with the client, providing value to the client through insights, factual conclusions and advice. You will support Financial Services Sector clients in defining their strategic objectives and priorities through performing strategic analysis work to transaction execution. You will plan, prepare and review deliverables in various forms including excel data books, written reports, presentations and discussions with the client. You will understand the capabilities of the firm and look for opportunities to sell additional services to our clients.

Skills And Attributes For Success

We are looking for experienced Strategy and Transactions professionals with good understanding and experience relevant for the Financial Services Sector (Banking, Insurance and Asset Management), to join our high performing team.

Qualifications & Experience:

As a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and 7-12 years of related business valuation work experience In-depth understanding as well as expertise in various valuation methodologies, market assessment, market sizing, feasibility and business plans building, operating and commercial models review, financial analyses, capital allocation and cost optimization, portfolio optimization etc. Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch Strong understanding of the financial services institutions’ balance sheet structure and operating models. Broad understanding of IFRS standards related to fair value measurements, business combination, impairment testing etc.

Have previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm Made an achievement of or significant progress towards a CFAHave excellent Business Development skills
