Job summary

SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of Super Annotate, seeks a Malayalam Quality Assurance Lead for an hourly remote contractor role. You will oversee quality across Malayalam AI training projects, review AI-generated content, and ensure compliance with project guidelines.

You will provide precise feedback, maintain documentation, and collaborate with remote trainers and QAs.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Malayalam with strong reading and writing; fluent English for guidelines
• 3+ years of professional Malayalam writing, editing, translation, localization, or QA workflows
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs preferred

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: spot-check Malayalam items and provide feedback
• Update trainers and QAs on guidelines, changes and quality expectations
• Respond to trainer/QA questions about Malayalam wording, tone, and cultural context
• Activate inactive contributors and track follow-ups
• Create and maintain Malayalam project documentation and onboarding materials
• Lead onboarding/training calls to explain expectations and rubrics
• Ensure consistent application of Malayalam language guidelines across projects
• Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA processes
