Job summary

Newrest is seeking a maintenance leader in Qatar to supervise a diverse team responsible for electrical, plumbing, building systems and kitchen equipment maintenance. You will develop schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years' related experience, a transferable Qatar visa, and strong reporting and leadership capabilities to drive reliable facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the maintenance team and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure work is done effectively.
• Regularly report issues, actions taken and progress of fixes or development work to management.
• Develop and enforce maintenance schedules among staff.
• Organise repairs, maintenance and preventive checks on kitchen equipment, building systems, electrical, plumbing and civil/structural items.
• Monitor and prioritise maintenance requests; identify emergencies and manage workload for timely completion.
• Maintain accurate records on preventive/corrective maintenance, service requests, expenditures and work-in-progress.
• Must be locally available in Qatar with a transferable work visa.
• High School / Vocational Diploma or equivalent with minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Good presentation and reporting skills.
• Proven leadership to manage the team and lead technicians.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, installing, replacing and troubleshooting electrical systems, A/C, kitchen equipment and fixtures.
• Excellent knowledge of building systems including civil/structural items and plumbing.
• Basic carpentry knowledge.

Job description

• Responsible for managing the maintenance team and coordinating maintenance activities to make sure the work is done in an effective manner.
• To be able to report to the management on a regular basis all the issues, the action taken and the progress of fixing/troubleshooting or developing the required work.
• Develop maintenance schedules and enforce them among maintenance staff.
• To organize repairs, maintenance, and preventive maintenance checks on the Kitchen equipment, building systems including civil/structural items, electrical items and plumbing.
• Monitor and prioritize maintenance requests and tasks. Identify and expedite emergencies and monitor workload throughout the day to ensure tasks are completed timely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance service requests (received and completed), expenditures and work-in-progress.
• Must be locally available in Qatar with a Transferable work visa.
• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Good presentation and reporting skills
• Proven leadership skills to manage the team and lead all the technicians.
• Experience in the diagnosis, repair, installation, replacement, maintenance and troubleshooting of a wide variety of electrical systems, A/C, Kitchen equipment and fixtures.
• Excellent knowledge of building systems including civil/structural items and plumbing.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry is required.
