Job summary

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts in Qatar seeks a hotel maintenance technician to keep guestrooms and public areas in excellent condition. You will perform masonry, tiling, plastering, and ceiling work while using power tools to complete tasks.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, updating the logbook, and communicating progress to the Engineering Supervisor. This role emphasizes teamwork, readiness for emergencies, and adherence to hotel policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies service procedures and standards
• Check with duty engineer for the priority job
• Check the logbook for follow up jobs
• Ensure the use of all required PPE while on duty
• Maintain safety procedures in working area and other associated areas
• Prepare and mix materials for work according to specifications
• Repair or replace concrete terrazzo wall tiles etc.
• Install repairs and replacements of ceilings floors tiles
• Work with power tools to complete tasks
• Demolish old masonry and install new brick block or concrete as required
• Close maintenance requests after job completion
• Communicate daily progress to Duty Engineer and Engineering Supervisor
• Document work in the logbook
• Adhere to hotel policies when entering guest rooms for repairs
• Maintain safety standards and hotel emergency procedures
• Support Perfect Room program in guestrooms and public areas
• Ensure all electrical rooms and workshop areas are clean and in good condition
• Attend training on Hygiene Health & Safety measures
• Monitor Knowcross application and respond to escalated requests
