Job summary

InterContinental Doha The City is seeking a hands-on Kitchen & Laundry Technician to maintain and repair commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to work orders, and collaborate with Kitchen & Laundry teams while supporting energy conservation and quality service in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• A Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 23 kg (50 lbs) throughout shift.
• Good reading, writing and basic maths skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen and laundry equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, washing machines, dryers and laundry equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders to minimise downtime.
• Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Support energy conservation through maintenance improvements and efficient practices.
• Follow health, safety and hotel engineering standards while carrying out repairs.
