Overview

Indian Librarian in Al-Khor, Qatar. We are seeking an Indian Librarian to join our team at our library in Al-Khor, Qatar. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection of resources, assisting patrons with research and information needs, and maintaining the library's systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection of books, journals, periodicals, and other resources
• Develop and maintain a catalog system to organize and track resources
• Assist patrons with research needs by providing guidance on reference materials and utilizing online databases
• Respond to inquiries from patrons regarding library policies, services, and resources
• Plan and execute events such as book clubs, author talks, and workshops to promote reading and literacy
• Maintain the library's computer systems including circulation software and databases
• Train new staff members on library procedures and policies
• Oversee the maintenance of the library's physical space including shelving, displays, and seating areas

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of cataloging systems such as MARC or AACR2
• Familiarity with online databases such as ProQuest or EBSCOhost

Salary
